Question: I am a very sensitive person and have suffered with diagnosed depression 2 years ago. This concerns my love life. I seem to develop extreme distrust on a person if he hides or cheats me once. I cannot move on and keep stuck to that instance trying to know more about it causing myself and others emotional pain over and over again. I feel dejected and low. The instances that cause me pain repeat in my head abruptly inspite of me having forgiven the person. It drives me crazy. What should i do?

Brief Answer:
This could be part of depression.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Thanks for asking us about your health related doubts

A lot of individuals have such issues. To some extent this is the part of depression. Inability to suppress unwanted thoughts that should be suppressed. Since there are no other symptoms so there is no need to take treatment but you have to learn to suppress these thoughts.

Try to keep yourself busy and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Give at least 30-45 minutes to exercise daily which will help to channelise the energy.

Have healthy and balanced meals. Take vitamin B12 supplements and also foods rich in Omega-3-Fatty Acids like Walnuts, Salmon or Sardine fish etc. This will help to improve the brain functioning and the thoughts will go.

Also try to accept that such things are part and parcel of life. Accept that if anyone is hiding anything that doesn't mean that he/she is doing this deliberately. This could be a simple thing but you are giving more importance to that thing. Try to minimise the negative thoughts and maximise the positive thoughts. Never generalise the things, if a persons did wrong thing that doesn't mean that he is wrong. Avoid generalisation. These things will help in better functioning.

Thanks and Take care
