What Causes Mild Vaginal Spotting After Cervical Polyp Removal?

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Dec 2015
Question: I had a cervical polyp removed two to three weeks ago. I have mild spotting in the morning. I knew I would have spotting for a little while but didn't think it would last this long. Polyp was benign. Is this normal

Brief Answer:
It's normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.

Spotting after polyp removal may last for 2-3 weeks. It is normal.

However you can consult your OBGYN for internal examination to rule out any other local cause, just to be sure.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
