Brief Answer:
Its common in this age group

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to the HCM

I understand your concerns but don't worry. Babies often resist introduction to new feeds as they were satisfied earlier with just milk. But we can take the advantage of a few facts to introduce new feeds very essential for their nutrition. So I recommend my patients to take the following measures:
- Eat together: babies are tempted when they see there loved one's eating together. You may try their complementary foods at the family meals time.
- Make eating a joyful experience: by singing their favorite rhymes, showing moving toys, etc.
- avoid force feeding. It leads to negative reinforcement. If child constantly move away from spoon, he might not be hungry enough. So, wait and try after an hour.
- do not reject a food completely. Keep introducing a not so favorable food after every few days. Most kids start accepting them gradually.
- Divide responsibility for both parents. This will help in a long run.

Start him on iron supplement such as Ferronia XT for the time being to avoid iron deficiency anaemia and boost appetite.
Hopefully this will be useful.
Take care
