Question: swallowed a hand full of pills and largynx and windpipie is sore everytime I eat

Please approach the Emergency room immediately for further management. Handfull of pills could be dangerous to your health. You will need gastric lavage as soon as possible.

I'm sorry I should have explained that the handful of pills taken was perscription meds that I take everyday....for some reason yesterday was a little different.. don't know why the only thing different was that I took an anti-biotic because I had a dental appointment. my throat has been hurting ever since I took all the pills at once, been taking semon juice and honey and eating a soft diet....should I be doing anything else??

Thanks for getting back, you had got me worried.

Here is what you should do for a bad throat

1. Gargle your throat with betadine gargle. Do it once every 4 hours, it gives god relied
2. Lozeges like strepsils help tackle the inflammation quickly
3. Avoid drinking cold beverages
4. Avoid milk and milk products until you are better
5. Please avoid smoking

thank you for getting back to me.... and your excuse is a renal transplantation...???? can't possibly understand why this was more important
than my sore throat.....??????????.... couldn't your patient wait a little longer so
you could answer my question.......LOL....!!!!.....LOL....!!!!....believe me I really do understand.....and thank you for taking the time out of your very busy schedule to get back to me......I will take your advise.....have a great day... and hope your patient has a speedy recovery.....
