Brief Answer:
Probably patellar ( kneecap) origin.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Front knee pain mainly in bicyclers and people who exercises may be related to kneecap and its ligaments.

These conditions include patellar chondromalacia (softening/breakdown of kneecap tissue) and patellar tendinitis (runner's knee).

Diagnosis is evaluated mainly clinically, and for this there is need to have a Orthopedist examination, x-Rays of the knee may show tilting of kneecap and sometimes signs of arthritis.

Knee MRI is rarely needed.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
