Question: Hi, had posted my question on My Dashboard and seek for ENT specialist advice. Hope you don't mind to provide your professional advice too. Below are my problem: I am having an unusual symptoms which is yet to get an answer. Why my tingling can be passed to people? Like I got abnormal breath. Sometimes it could happen when I talk or not talk, it's seems like came from my breath or maybe due to the movement to the tissues in nasal. It's hard to describe. SInce kid, I used to have itchy feeling in my nose, ears, mouth or throat, but after visiting few ENT doctors and took for medicine, conditions improved. But I got an abnomal ability to pass around the allergen. IAs it's getting obvious and can happen anytime. I saw people reaction is rubbing their nose ,some may even sneezing later. I think their feeling is just like something 'fly' to their face or around the nose to cause the itching, just like me. I had gone for 3 ENT but they said I'm just having allergic.Previously also being diagnosed to have sinus infections. But my CT scan just said that I had hypertrophied turbinate and deviated septum. Doctor said my tissue is little swelling due to chronic rhinitis. But they all think my problem is not severe. They seems not believe my statement. But it's really can cause such discomfort around the people that I meet everyday. I am so frustrated as it seems can't be cured even though I took medicines and rinsing my nose by using Neilmed. I'm afraid after nasal surgery my problem still exist. Basically, I don't have serious nose blocking now in a day like previous time. Just the itching sometimes. Or nose pain in the back. Sometimes, I will feel something in my nose and make me sneeze. Recently, my left face muscles also feeling a little tight or uncomfortable. But my maxiliary sinus is clear. I started to think of other causes. COuld it be my nerve issue? Sometimes the tickling is inside the nose, sometimes it seems like something 'lay on' your face but it's invisible. I asked a ENT doctor whether there are such possibility it was caused by chemical or toxic, he said can't be able to find out. Is that true? No test can be done? I asked for biopsy test , he said no polyps found so no need to do. But I said I want to find out what's wrong with my tissue. If I could, of course I woudn't want to spend money. But I really don't know what is it to cause such discomfort. Thank you. Appreciate your professional advice.

Brief Answer: This may be a allergic rhinitis Detailed Answer: Hello, Welcome to Healthcare Magic, The symptoms that people rub their nose and even sneeze later when you are in-front of them can happen in two conditions i.e 1.As you are having the symptoms of allergic rhinitis like watery rhinorrhea and sneezing can induce psychological feeling of itching in the nose of others. 2.Rarely a patient with chronic rhino sinusitis later in their life after prolong infection of nose can have a disease called ATROPHIC RHINITIS in which there is crusting, anosmia and foul smell coming out of your nose, which may bother other people. But you are not presenting or suffering from these symptoms and your CT scan findings is also against with this diagnosis. Your history and CT scan report suggest me that you may be having either seasonal allergic rhinitis or perineal allergic rhinitis. This is usually wan't be caused by chemicals or toxic substances, but it is caused by allergens like pollen, dust, mite, certain food products and can happen rarely with some chemicals or toxic substances to which you are exposed in your surrounding occupational environment. It can be fond out that to which allergen you are sensitive by two investigations either by Invasive method i.e by Skin Prick Test (SPT) or Non Invasive test by Radio absorbent test (RAST). Usually the biopsy is not needed since there is no abnormal growth in routine ENT examination findings and in view of CT scan findings, but nasal smear can be done to know the presence of high eosinophil count and to know the presence of fungus as it can be there in allergic rhinitis. Hope I have answered your query, still if you have further questions it will be my privilege to answer them. Thank you.
