Question: Hello Doctor, I have irritation and itching on the penis underneath skin (foreskin of the penis), also i see a white skin area, causing itching, some times causing irritation/burning sensation while urination Seeking your medical advise and prescription for this infection. Thanks in advance XXXXXX

Brief Answer: It could be due to Diabetis . Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have itching and irritation of foreskin and burning urination occasionally,This could be due to fungal infection secondary to Diabetes. Many times itching of genitals is a presenting symptom of Diabetes .Please get your blood sugar tests on empty stomach and 2 hours after lunch done to rule out or confirm the same. In the mean while start taking anti fungal medication like Fluconozole orally with topical anti fungal jelly like Fluconozole for local application. If blood tests turns out to be positive for (Diabetis) you may need to consult qualified general physician or Diabetologist for management of Diabetes.
