Brief Answer:
Proctologist should be visited.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Do you have any redness, swelling of the cheek bone or buttock? Do you have any pain while passing the stool? Have you had colonoscopy done?

Your symptoms can be caused by some rectum injury due to pushing and manipulating. This can result with a fistula and buttock abscess. Pain, swelling and some redness are typical for this condition.

I suggest you to consult proctologist and have rectal examination at first to see what exactly has happen. Without this, its hard to guide you what to do next.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.

THERE IS NO REDNESS TO MY LEFT LOWER CHEEK. COULD THIS BE CAUSED BY A FALL I HAD IN FEBRUARY WHEN I BROKE MY FEMUR BONE. I LANDED RIGHT ON MY BUTT. THE PAIN STARTED SLOWLY ABOUT 1 MONTH NOW AGO.

Brief Answer:
The injury can have some impact to the pain.

Detailed Answer:
It might be associated with the injury you have mentioned, however the probability of it is low. If you have had any surgery to fix the fracture, it may be related to it.
If there is no redness, spine problem or hip problem can be the case. In such situation, you should have at least an x-ray of this area done and consult orthopedist.

Regards.
