What Causes High Level Of Protein In Urine?
Question: I am feeling uncomfortable. I have high level of Protein in my Urine (Proteinuria) and shortage of blood due to my kidney problem. I have been advised to constantly be taking blood tablets and other medication to control my blood pressure. I have lost so much weight. I do not ever wish to go through any Dialysis process, but rather i am thinking of having kidney transplant before it becomes danger to my life, but the issue is that i do not know exactly when to do it; and how to go about it. I have not any kidney donor, so how to get a donor is my worry. I am afraid of my life in future. Please advise me on what you think i should do.

I read your question and I understand your concern. Your signs and symptoms of anemia and fatigue are due to renal compromise. Proteinuria is the result of this damage and causing proteins shortage leading to other conventional symptoms. Due to failing kidney it is unable to produce erythropoeitn which causes blood synthesis.
How ever blood supplement alone are not enough. You need a renal biopsy first to rule out the etiology for this proteinuria and then managed accordingly.
Renal transplant is accordingly decision only your nephrologist can take after clinical correlation of your symptoms.
How ever if dialysis is still not indicated means kidney is partially functional and accordingly nd imminent candidate for replacement.
My concern would be more of grading the nephropathy histopathological evaluation of the organ.
