What Causes High PSA Levels And Pain After Radiation?

Question: 10 years ago I had High dose Radiation to cure prostate cancer. My PSA has bumped from 2.6 to 3.8 for the last 5 years and I have had no symptoms. After my last exam I found out the PSA jumped to 5.2 and my doctor wants me to have a bone scan.
For about a month I have been feeling pain in my left hip area and sometimes it extends to pain all the way down my leg, but it starts in the hip joint area. Could this be symptoms of some early bone cancer?
