Brief Answer: It requires evaluation by ophthalmoscopy. Detailed Answer: Hello Welcome to Health care magic Iam Dr. DADAPEER K, an ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye. It seems from the history that you are having flashes of light on turning the head to the left. This is usually sign of peripheral retinal diseases and it occurs as a result of traction of the peripheral retina and the liquid gel attached to it called as vitreous. Hence it requires evaluation to rule out the diseases affecting the peripheral retina like retinal tear, retinitis, posterior vitreous detachment... by performing a simple clinical test called as ophthalmoscopy. Flashes of light may sometimes be related to age related degenerations occuring in the posterior part of the eye in the vitreous. However all cases with flashes of light should be evaluated to rule out underlying retinal conditions as I have mentioned above. Hence I advice you to consult your eye doctor for further examination and treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question and the information is helpful to you. Thank you
