While sleeping on each side my right and left hand will go numb.
When I roll onto my back the numbness will subside in about 3-4 minutes.

I have had type two diabetes for about 20 years I'm 82. I also have high blood
Pressure. Both are under control with medication

My family Dr. Told me that I would not need an operation but did not tell me
The cause of the problem.

I'm curious to know what could be causing this problem Which started about
Two years ago.

Thank you
doctor

Brief Answer:
Physiological.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

The symptoms you have mentioned are normal and physiological.Transient numbness occurs due to compressive effect on nerves, while the body is maintained in same posture for some time.
However,I suggest that you must maintain a good control on blood sugar to prevent Diabetic complications including neuropathy.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up else please close the thread, rate it and write a review as your rating will be of help to me.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
