Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
At this age any bowel issues should definitely be screened for Colon Cancer.
Usually that is associated with blood in stools and weight loss.
However it is not the only cause for loose stools that too green in colour.
If you are a diabetic then gastroparesis can be a reason.
It can be due to thyroid related issues.
It can be due to colitis or infection in bowel.
So best way out is to get following investigations:
1. Fasting Blood Sugar.
2. Thyroid Profile.
3. Stool examination
4. Colonoscopy.
This would clear the picture.
Once you have got the tests done and results are awaited you can take a short course antibiotic combination of Ciprofloxacin and Tinidazole for 5 days.
If you have any further query please feel comfortable to ask me.
Stay Healthy.
