Question: My husband is 57. In late April he fell from a ladder and suffered a concussion. he hit the right top of his head. There was not a fracture or subdural hematoma. Prior to this, in retrospect, he was having short term memory loss and forgetfulness, which I just thought was due to not paying attention. In late July, he started having double vision, vision loss, spatial issues with frequent fall, severe short term memory loss, he became unable to perform his job as a meat cutter, periods of crying and depression, tremulous, and a slow gait. He has had a complete vision and occular health workup, lumbar puncture, neuropsych testing, MRI, and cat scans. They have ruled out MS, and numerous other conditions. He suffers from frequent nausea and vomiting, although it has lessened, severe headaches, lethargy, memory loss, and vertigo. he has been unable to work since August but we still don't have a diagnosis. Creutzfeldt Jakobs, MS, Syphilis, have been ruled out. Any ideas?
