Question: I have a fever adn terrible pain on my face on right side and from ear along jaw line. generally ache. went to dentist today had a panorex xray -no pituatary stones, did see abcess but tooth with abcess not hurting at all gave me an antibiotic to follow up tomorrow and see how I feel. I ache adn feel crappy now feel like more pain on face too.

Thanks for writing in.

If you have an abscessed tooth then there can be referred pain to face. Moreover it is not necessarily the same tooth and that's why X-rays are more reliable. It would have been better if you could have attached X-ray in reports.

Treatment of abscess depends on its size like if bigger in size it requires incision and drainage. You should continue with the antibiotics (as already started) and it may require root canal treatment and extraction. Kindly attach your reports for more specific diagnosis. You can simply attach it at the reports section.
