What Causes Feeling Of Air Bubbles In Stomach Near Sternum?

default
Posted on Mon, 5 May 2014
Question: I have been having trouble with what feels like big air bubbles in my stomach, near my sternum. My family doctor says that it is just a symptom of my acid reflux, but i have been diagnosed with this for 4 years and have never experienced this. It is accompanied by a feeling of severe hunger, like what starving would feel like, but eating does not help. I would like a second opinion on what is going on with my body as it is effecting my daily life. XXXX

Brief Answer: Possible peptic ulcer. Detailed Answer: Hello! Thank you for the query. Your symptoms can indicate peptic ulcer. Especially that you have already acid reflux diagnosed and you suffer from anxiety. Any stomach related symptoms change should be verified. It clearly means that something has changed. Please note that chronic stomach acid reflux can lead to esophageal inflammation. I suggest you to have it checked with gastroscopy. Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions. Regards.
