Question: I have been diagnosed with CRPS or RSD and had my first appt. at MAPS pain clinic this past Monday. They started me on Neurontin 300mg tablet per day to be increased up tom5 caps per day. They also put me on nortriptyline 10mg tablets to be increased to5 caps per day. I take 200mgs of Zoloft already and1000mgs of Keppra ER per day. Today I have been sweating,hot, shaky and I have had a headache all day. Do you think I should take my next increase of nortriptyline of10mgs tonight? Also my son wants to know if smoking some marijuana might relieve some of my neuropathic pain?

Headaches and sweeting you feel could be related to side effects of drugs you are using.

Most important side effect that needs to be evaluated is probable lowering of blood pressure.

If blood pressure is within normal ranges you can increase the dose of nortriptyline.

If blood pressure too low, you should discuss with your treating Doctor about adjustment of drugs dosages.

About medical marihuana, in my opinion, its use could improve your symptoms.
