What Causes Erectile Dysfunction Post Varicose Veins Surgery?
Question: i had venous ablation done a week ago vain went from near right of gorin to ankle. now i lost my erection it is now 20% . wife noticed a large red plump vein in front of penis before procedure now she says it turned black and started to disappear. do i have any hope for repair.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone surgery of ablation of Varicose veins and since then facing problem of erectile dysfunction .
At the outset I would try to explain the normal mechanism of blood flow to erectile tissue .
Erectile body is supplied by two arteries
1) External Pudendal Artery
2) Internal Pudendal Artery
It does happen in few individuals that the main blood flow to the erectile tissue is derived by External Pudendal Artery .
The external pudendal artery lies in close vicinity of Internal Sephanous Vein which is ligated and stripped of during the surgery of ablation and there is risk even in hands of experienced and XXXXXXX surgeon of External Pudendal artery getting injured or ligated accidentally while stripping of varicose veins.
The result of ligation of this artery causes reduced blood flow to penis giving rise to Erectile Dysfunction ...
Consult operating surgeon for evaluation .However there is no modality that can resolve this issue .
