Brief Answer:
You be allergic to the hardware or it is an infection!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this draining and opened wound. This clearly suggest that there is something not going right which needs to be addressed. Infections are the most common cause of delayed wound healing and if this has been ruled out through culture, then allergy to the hardware is a possible cause. This way, you will need to receive huge amounts of steroids to prevent this and at worse, we may need to take it out if there is no response form the steroids. My wish is that this gets resolved with drugs and let there be no need for this hardware to be taken off for allergy reasons.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
