Brief Answer:
Low sugars

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

The two most common reasons for fainting post dialysis are
1. Low sugars because dialysis tends to remove sugar from the blood
2. Low blood pressure

I recommend that you snack mid dialysis to prevent low sugars and make sure that blood pressure is under control at the end of dialysis.

I must add here that the other dreaded reasons for fainting post dialysis are
1. Hemorrhage in the brain due to the use of heparin
2. Seizures due to electrolyte disturbance.

This episode of fainting must not be neglected, please approach your doctor for a thorough evaluation. The evaluation is ideally done post dialysis and I recommend getting the following things done

1. Serum electrolytes including calcium and magnesium
2. blood sugar
3. ct brain if clinically any abnormal neurological finding is found
4. hemoglobin

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
