What Causes Consistent Pain In Shoulder Restricting Movement?

default
Posted on Thu, 14 Jan 2016
Question: Ive been having pain on my shoulder for about two months now. I ignored the pain and continued to lift weights, recently the pain is very painful. I have stopped lifting for a while now. It hurts on certain movements. Such as horizontal, vertical and diagonal. It has limited my range of motion such as swinging, throwing and lifting. There does not appear to be any swelling or brusing. Could it be strain?

Brief Answer:
it is subacromial bursitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that you are having sub acromial bursitis. In this condition there is collection of fluid in the shoulder joint and it is most common due to sports or weight lifting. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Hot water fomentation
2.Tablet Gabapin NT one time daily.
3.MRI of the shoulder if pain is increasing even after these drugs.
4.Steroid injection can be given in steroid injection.
I hope this answer will be useful for you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
thanks
