Question: Hi, My 10 months old daughter has been with chest congestion, cold and cough with wheezing sound since a week. Due to emergency situation seen 2 docs who suggested the following, kindly let me know which is the safest dosage for her and her congestion, cough and wheezing are still there by using Asthalin syrup(2.5 ml - thrice and Relent plus 2.5 ml twice)

Doc 1: Suggested - Duolin LD and Budecort 0.5 twice a day separately nebulization, along-with Syrup Maxtra P (2.5 ml twice) and Syrup Cortimax (2.5 ml) twice for a week

Doc 2: Suggested - Asthalin syrup (2.5 ml - trice) and Relent Plus (2.5 ml - twice) along-with Seroflo 125 mg - 1 puff thru spacer twice a day for a week.

Kindly let me know which doc should i follow , which will be safe and give earliest relief. I am wondering if:

1. Seroflo 125 is safe for 10 months baby
2. Isnt Syrup Cortimax a steriod.

Kindly advice which will be the best course of medicine for my baby.

Thanks
Lavina

Brief Answer:
Both of them are fine. Can go for any.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

You can go for any of the two prescriptions. Both are fine and on similar lines. Cortimax is a steroid and so is Seroflo and Budecort. You need not worry about it. You can go for Serflo.
