Posted on Thu, 4 Dec 2014
Question: Hi,
I had sex for the first time last month, after about a week i started getting these under the skin bumps around my genital area and my thighs, I have had 4 of them so far. At first they're itchy and then the itch goes away the tip is normally white (almost like a pimple) but when I pop them they look like this (the photo) and then go away within 2 days. Do you have any idea what this is? Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Looks like a bacterial infection!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

Was it protected intercourse? If not, always think of getting protection always. It saves lives.

This looks like impetigo. Being a single lesion, hygiene and baths with an antiseptic solution should be able to help address this. Step up your personal hygiene, washing the underwear more regularly and cleansing the genitals at least twice a day. This would help control and prevent further lesions.

I hope this helps.. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
