Question: I am 27 years old and had a baby 3 months ago in the last couple days I had some wine and the next morning I woke up and my body felt extremely weak I didn't think anything of it but it happened again last night. This is not the first time I have had alcohol since being pregnant but these are the first times I have had this feeling. What is happening?

Degeneration of muscles can also occur called alcoholic myopathy making upper arms and thighs weak and painful can also held responsible.
Metabolic derangements can occur in patients with chronic alcohol exposure withdrwal or acute intoxication.
Most important and serious abnormalities are hypokalemia hypomagnesemia hypophosphatemia hypoglycemia ketoacidosis and lactic acidosis
This serious complication can lead to genrealized weakness which needs prompt adressing

Serum elctrolytes including Mg and Ca leves, blood sugar, ECG should be done

Have good and balance diet reduced or stop alcohol consumption altogther and if you are lactating mother then that would need extra amount of calories in your diet. Take good care of your self alcohol is very damaging to health it affects almost every system of your body.
