What Causes Blood In Urine Along With Hematuria?
Question: Hello, for the past 3 days I have been feeling a pinching sensation when I am urinating, and when I sit down and urinate, I am urinating blood. The last time these symptoms occurred, the doctor ran some tests and determined that I did not have a Urinary Tract Infections or an STD.

Blood in the urine (hematuria) is not normal and there are things other than UTIs and STDs that can cause it. Anything that causes inflammation anywhere along the genitourinary tract can cause it. Stones in the kidneys or urinary tract, autoimmune disorders, abnormalities with the blood vessels of the kidneys, or, less commonly, cancers/tumors can cause hematuria. Structural problems in the genitoruinary tract can cause this too. Vigorous exercise or exertion can sometimes cause blood in the urine too, and this is a more benign process. Some medications can cause bleeding, but I see that you aren't taking any.
But it is important to have further evaluation beyond only looking for UTI and STDs. A complete urinalysis should be done by a lab (not just an in-office urine dip stick test) and if that doesn't provide enough information on what the cause is, then imaging tests (ultrasound, CT or MRI) and possible cystoscopy are indicated as is a consult with a urologist. But the cause of the bleeding should be looked into.
So - do pursue further testing beyond what was done in the past although testing for infection again should be part of the evaluation - it's just that it shouldn't be the only thing if the tests are negative.

Thank you. I do have a few follow up questions, though. I am in Las Vegas away from home, so I won't be able to see my doctor for at least a week. At what point should I go to the hospital about the worst case scenario, say Kidney failure or some of life threatening symptom?

I understand the problem of not being at home for this, but I do think you should go in to an urgent care clinic now, at least to get a urinalysis done.
Some urgent care clinics are mostly staffed by physicians assistants (PA) and nurse practitioners (NP) because they are less expensive for the clinic to pay. But I recommend you request to see a physician (MD or DO). Most urgent care clinics will have one on staff, and if you specifically request to see them, you will get them but you may have to wait.
Given that I can't examine you and I don't know which of the things I listed may be going on with you, I can't say which may be the problem in terms of a timeline, but I can say that for a man to see XXXXXXX blood in the urine is not normal and needs prompt attention.
