Question: My 25 yr old son just told me he has very bloody stool twice this week and the 2nd was very bloody

It could be Internal haemorrhoids.

Hi

Bleeding per rectum can be due to Internal haemorrhoids.
As there is family history of Colon cancer, it's better to get a Colonoscopy.Colonoscopy will visualise the entire colon, rectum and anal canal. Apart from polyps, growth; haemorrhoids can also be seen.
He should take plenty of liquids, eat high fiber diet.
He should eat fresh fruits and vegetables.
Non vegetarian food should be avoided.
Please consult a Gastroenterologist, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
