What Causes Black Stool With Dizziness And Weight Loss?

Question: I have eaten chocolate cake last night and getting black stool in the morning, I was feeling very little dizziness on the back of my head and my weight has decreased by 2kgs over 3 weeks... Once doctor has said that I might have colitis..
Can I know the reason behind this black stool.

This is indicative of bleeding in the intestinal tract.

I would advise you the following:
- First of all send the stool for testing for routine, microscopy and occult blood.
- Upper GI Endoscopy
-Colonoscopy.
- CT scan of abdomen.

In addition you have a history of weight loss hence cancer should be ruled out.

Chocolate may not cause this
