Question: We returned from a Caribbean seven days ago. The first evening home, my five year old daughter complained of an itching on her back. By the next morning, she'd developed a rash over her trunk and had a slight fever. She also complained that her belly hurt, although that didn't impact her appetite. The rash was at its worst along her shoulders. We were swimming in the sea the day before she first complained of the itch, and the rash appeared in the areas that would have been covered fully by her bathing suit, so we think it's seabather's eruption.

Since then, the rash has largely disappeared, but she still has the fever, and she had pale-colored stools, normal size and consistency for her, once two days ago and again today. Nothing else appears off. She's as active, alert, and hungry as ever. I intend to take her to her pediatrician if this continues much longer. Until then, any insight?
