Brief Answer:
Age Related Dementia(loss of memory)

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,

Greetings,

After going through your husbands history, I can understand the concern you have regarding your husbands short term memory loss, my full sympathy is with you.

As per you question you want to know that further any test available to find out the cause of short term memory loss.

In my opinion as per the age of your husband is concerned it is normal to have shot tern memory loss (Senile Dementia). Since your husband is 81 years of age there will always be some degenerative changes in brain leading to memory loss. The degenerative changes are well delineated on CT Scan brain.

You can get CT Scan of brain done to see the age related degenerative changes, it is normal phenomenon existing with every individual who is of more age.

So in my opinion you should not worry because his test done by neurologist has come to be OK, so of not much concern.

It is seen that good balanced diet, exercise, healthy life style, vitamins and minerals supplement helps in improving memory, so he can follow that.

Alcohol, tobacco, any type of narcotics deteriorates the memory and health.

Hope I cleared your doubt, if further any you are most welcome,

Wishing your husband & you a very healthy life,

Regards,

Thanks.
