Brief Answer:
For how long has this being going on?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. The first approach would be to get a detailed interview concerning these symptoms followed by a physical exam to look for clues as to what the possible cause of this pain is. If after a complete evaluation including blood and imaging studies no cause is identified, then this may fall in the group of pathologies called irritable bowel syndrome that needs a special approach to management. This is a condition where the client reports symptoms but there is nothing abnormal that can be picked up through examination or testing and the symptoms have been going on for a while.

In all, I will suggest that you get this pain and your symptoms fully investigated. If no cause is identified and symptoms have been for long, then irritable bowel syndrome cannot be ruled out. Management would depend on what the final diagnosis is. For now, increase fiber, vegetable and fruit consumption, drink much water and exercise regularly.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this follow up precision.

With this ore information, there sees to be a real problem going on with the digestive system. However, the symptoms are not suggestive of colitis but rather raise the question of a possible irritable bowel syndrome. This is a condition that causes symptoms as you have reported and yet nothing abnormal can be identified on extensive testing.

Treatment consists mainly in controlling the symptoms. Increased fiber, fruits and vegetables intake alongside moderate and regularly exercises are highly encouraged. Anti spasmodic medications like hyoscyamine can be tried for the stomach pains as well. Unfortunately, there is no magical pill that gets these problems resolved. A combination of drugs, life style and diet modifications alongside regular exercises helps relieve these symptoms. Only a continued trial of different options would finally pinpoint what the best and helpful measures are to you.

You are 50years old, have you told about getting a regular screening colonoscopy? If you have not, please consider doing so.

I hope this helps. Let me hear your thoughts and address any further worries that you may have.
