What Causes A Radiating Pain In Right Buttock And Thigh?
Question: I have a pain that radiated from about the center of my right buttocks down into my thigh. I think it might be sciatica. Having discomfort when trying to walk. Thank you.

I read your question carefully and I am sorry about the pain you are in.
The sciatica you suggest may well be the cause of the pain. Its likelihood is higher if pain is exacerbated by coughing or sneezing (which may indicate a herniated disc). However sciatica generally goes further down than only the thigh, distribution of pain reaches below the knee. Also when due to herniated discs there is some back pain typically. So if the symptoms are limited to the buttock and the thigh other causes may be the case as well, such as sacroiliac joint inflammation or hip joint issues.
In terms of initial management Ibuprofen 800-1200 mg a day is the right choice to alleviate the symptoms. If the symptoms persist then you should check with your primary doctor and some X-ray of the lumbar spine as well as the sacroiliac and hip joint (depending on the distribution of pain as I said) are a cheap routine initial test to rule out issues warranting immediate intervention such as fractures.
Afterwards physical therapy may be added to the management as well. If symptoms are not relieved in 4-6 weeks then more detailed imaging through MRI may be obtained.
