What Causes A Hard Lump At The Bottom Of The Collarbone?

default
Posted on Wed, 5 Oct 2016
Question: I have a hard lump on the end of my collarbone at the neck. It first appeared about 6 weeks ago, around the time I started taking 6,000 mg daily of Collagen Type 1,2 & 3 Blend although I'd been taking another form of Collagen for about 4 months before that. Any chance there's a connection between the two events?

Brief Answer:
Most probably not related.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/59 - hard lump at the end of collarbone at neck - first appeared 6 weeks ago - around the time you started taking 6000 mg daily collagen Type 1,2 an 3 blends - although already taking another type of collagen for about 4 months before that, wants to know whether any chance of connection between the two - also note the history of current medications you are taking ...

Since you had already been taking collagen of another form starting the newer one may not be related to the hard lump as explained.

I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Get a clinical evaluation by your Doctor, referral for a Specialist's opinion, Ultrasonography and/or CT scan and FNAC is required to get a correct diagnosis and proper management.
