What Cause Cold Sweats While Treating Restless Leg Syndrome?

default
Posted on Tue, 25 Jul 2017
Question: I have cold sweats and involuntary muscle contracting off and on. my leg muscles and my arms just contract without me doing anything. I shake some too but really have no pain to speak of. It's like a shiver but totally involuntary. I wonder if I am allergic to something or if this is a reaction to something. This also increases my restless leg syndrome so it makes it impossible to sleep. I cannot relax enough to sleep long and this is turning into insomnia.

Brief Answer:
calcium / vitamin D / Carnitine deficiency

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the question.
I have gone through your medical history in detail.

From the symptoms it seems that you may be having deficiency of either calcium/vitamin D3 or carnitine. These are essential elements for maintaining smooth muscle contractions.

You can get the blood levels checked and confirm if their levels in blood have depleted.

Other possibility is of an underlying neurological cause that may be causing involuntary muscle contractions and this needs special consideration.
A consultation with a neurologist will help you rule out this etiology.

Till then, you can take calcium, vitamin D with L carnitor tablets.

Application of olive oil locally may be helpful.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to ask me any follow up queries that you may have.

Thank you.
Kind regards.
