Brief Answer:
Probably you have non-bacterial prostatitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Based on the facts that you have posted you have symptoms typical of Prostatitis. However, all the relevant tests are negative. This points towards a diagnosis of what is called as non-bacterial prostatitis.

This is characterized by symptom which is typical of prostate infection but there are no positive pieces of evidence detected on all the relevant test routinely carried out to establish the diagnosis of prostatitis.

In a given situation, I would advise you to do prostatic massage every day. This helps to reduce the prostatic congestion which is the basic factor for these symptoms and thereby give relief from symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query, please feel free to ask if you have more questions, I shall be happy to help you.

Thanks and regards.

A doctor performed prostate milking and massage, I felt complete relief for two days, when I tried prostate massage myself after reading about in detail, the tissue area around my prostate was very tender to touch, it hurted like you were touching some inflammed area
And are their any alternatives available other than prostate massage?
It’s been more than one year I am extremely worried
And sir can I take another course of anti-biotic which you can recommend, so that we can completly take infection criteria out of the picture

Brief Answer:
In the absence of any positive evidence of infection, no antibiotic will help.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

In absence of any positive evidence of infection taking more antibiotics will not help at all.

Doing proper prostate massage with a well-lubricated finger after putting a glove and local anesthetic jelly (Xylocaine) in anus will help to reduce the pain. Initially take help of health personnel and gradually you will learn to it yourself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks and regards.

I feel myself lucky that I have a chance of consulting with such a renowned doctor, you have helped may people.
I went to a medical practitioner for prostate massage, he has told me to get TRUS done for prostate and to start taking levofloxacin 500mg ,acc to him sometimes prostate infection does not show up on tests..
I am really confused as I am suffering from this problem from last 1 year 3 months
I have constant pain and tenderness around left testicle on the lower side ( near the vas), painful Ejaculation, have no problem with the frequency and urge of urination.
I remember the pain started suddenly after an episode of ejaculation and has never stopped
please I request you to prescribe a streamlined plan that I can follow and live my life like before
Is their any medicine that can reduce my prostate inflammation or a better antibiotic that can help apart from massage as my symptoms are not improving. (shall I take Levofloxacin or not)
I have 100% faith on you.

Brief Answer:
There is no rationale in taking antibiotics when infection is not detected.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I do not find the rationale behind prescribing tons of antibiotics when not a single tests have established the presence of bacterial infection over time and again.

I generally follow the modality of treatment of prostate massage every day to all my patients who come to my clinic and proved to be a victim of non-bacterial prostatitis and getting encouraging results.

I personally would not recommend you take any antibiotics which are going to be of no help at all.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks and regards.

Thank you so much for the help and patience
1) I will not take further antibiotics and get the massage done regularily
2)my doctor says that he will perform prostate massage once in a week ( shall I tell him to do it everyday?)
3)what should be the duration of massage ?, he does it for 1-2 min
4)any medicine apart from massage that can help?

Brief Answer:
You have to prostate massage gently every day for 3-4 months.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

You can catch hold of any male nurse to do prostate massage which has to be done religiously every day gently with proper lubrication of anal canal with Xylocaine jelly for 2-3 minutes.

It takes 2 weeks to see the results.

If you get the pain you may take pain killers like Paracetamol twice daily.

Hope I have answered your query.
