Question: Are you able to tell me symptoms of blood clots? My adult son is umpiring and has been got by a lot of balls. Just want to know what he should watch for?

When one thinks of damage from a trauma such as being hit by a ball what one fears is a hemorrhage, a bleeding event.

Symptoms to watch for would be intense or progressively increasing headache, confusion and abnormal behavior, double vision or vision loss, weakness or numbness of one half of the body, speech issues, seizures.

Generally symptoms appear in the first 24 hours after the trauma, very unlikely to happen later.
