Brief Answer: a heart attack is more severe Detailed Answer: Hello, I doubt what you are currently facing to be a heart attack. A heart attack would present in a more severe manner. The chest pain is excruciating and unbearable to the patient. You would sweat excessively, the pain would not just go away. It is a threatening kind of a pain that does not let you rest. It almost always compels you to rush to the nearby hospital. There is associated difficulty in breathing as well. Your pain and discomfort is not likely to be heart attack. Please relax.

Brief Answer: chances are low Detailed Answer: Hello, Your chances of having a heart attack are low although not impossible. You do smoke and drink alcohol. To estimate your chances or risk for heart attack, there are various cardiac risk assessment tools that are available on the internet. You can check your score there and decide for yourself. One such example is here: http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Conditions/HeartAttack/HeartAttackToolsResources/Heart-Attack-Risk-Assessment_UCM_303944_Article.jsp Your weight or Body Mass Index (BMI), along with your waist circumference are important to assess the risk or chances of having an heart attack. Your lipid profile, blood sugar and blood pressure status are important too. Let me know if you need additional details. I would be glad to help. Regards,
