Question: I am taking 2.5 mg of lobazam prescribed for panic attack every night for 3 weeks. Is is safe and what is the side effects of this please

Hi, thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts

I can understand your concern. Lobazam is Clobazam and the drug is a benzodiazepine drug. The drug is a safe drug for anxiety and panic attacks and is free of serious side effects. At 2.5 mg doses the drug is safe but might cause drowsiness, sedation etc side effects. If used regularly for more than 4 weeks then the drug can cause dependence, development of tolerance etc. The drug carries abuse potential and with regular use progressive increased doses are needed to get same effect.

Since you are using the drug for about 3 weeks in my opinion you should consider consulting your doctor and start taking the drug on SOS basis. Avoid using the drug on regular basis because this might result in dependence.
