What Are The Safest Medication For Cold And Cough That Can Be Given To A Baby?

Question: Hi doctor, My 2 months old son has cold and cough and this is there for the past 7days. The first advice given by the pediatrician 7 days ago was Sinarest and Kofarest. But the cold and cough came down but his throat is congested now and when he raises any voice it is clearly audible. We Had gone for a follow on check up today and the doctor suggested 1. Asthalin nebulisation thrice a day for 5 min 2. Kofarest and 3. Ziprax Can you please suggest if a 2months olds baby can be given these medications and if any alternative pls suggest Plus in addition he had the cold when he was 40days old and doctors adviced full term antibiotic of Amoxylin and Tminic Drops. In ten 10 this cold went off. But later in family a kid had the cold and i guess it got infected to him and this is the second time he is getting the cold but in a severe form than last time. Probably your son has spasm in the chest(constriction of airways),so bronchodilators(Asthalin nebulisation) is given.It will relieve the spasm.Antibiotics and cough syrup are rightly given.
