What Are The Risks Of Not Joining The Sperm Tube After Epididymal Cyst Removal?
Question: Hello Doctor, I recently had an epididymal cyst removed but the sperm tube was not rejoined and the testicle is stuck to the side inside the scrotum bag and hangs higher up. This was done 3 months ago, will the testicle eventually loosen and drop down and can the sperm tube be rejoined later?

Hello and welcome to HCM. the sperm carrying tube is called as vas. it can be felt on examination with the hand by a urologist or surgeon. further, a scrotal scan, can identify changes affecting the testis. your urologist/ surgeon can easily re-join the vas, if it was injured in previous surgery.

The tubes were tied after epididymal cyst was removed and I am worried about years from now about a blowout and sperm going into the bloodstream.

your fears are exaggerated. tubes( VAS )don't rupture like that. also sperms can't get into the blood stream ever. see a urologist and ask him/her to get your vas re-united through a surgery.
