Question: I'll ask you if that's ok cause I have been waiting for a follow up answer for six hours. sorry its rude but a guy fingered my vagina and rectum with rough nails and might have made me bleed inside. he then went down on me for a long time. what are my chances of getting HIV? he may have had bleeding gums. thanks and also the outside of my vagina and rectum were examined about 50 hours after and no cuts were found I'm just worried about cuts on the inside. thanks

Brief Answer:
Very unlikely to cause HIV infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back. Chances of infection in this are very unlikely. HIV spreads if there is direct contact of infected saliva/blood with your body fluids. As in your case no such contact occurred so chances of HIV infection are extremely unlikely and you can continue with your normal daily routine.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!

Brief Answer:
I'm sorry, saliva does not. I meant serum/bood

Detailed Answer:
Hello

First of all i'm sorry for mistyping. I meant serum/blood instead of saliva.

Secondly, most HIV tests are antibody tests that measure the antibodies against HIV. It take some time for the immune system to produce enough antibodies for the antibody test to detect and this time period can vary from person to person. This time period is commonly called as the "window period". Most people develop detectable antibodies within 2 to 8 weeks (the average is 25 days). Ninety seven percent will develop antibodies in the first 3 months following the time of their infection. Although its unlikely for you to get infection but for your own personal satisfaction, you can get tested by PCR after 1 month.

Thank You

Brief Answer:
Direct fluid to fluid contact is required for spread

Detailed Answer:
hello

you are welcome. i'll be available 24/7 for if you need assistance.

hiv spreads if there is direct communication between fluids. in your case as i said earlier, very very unlikely to cause infection. you can relax and continue with your normal daily routine.

Brief Answer:
Yes it usually does

Detailed Answer:
Hello

You are welcome. Saliva contains over a dozen enzymes and proteins which very effectively prevent the transmission of viable HIV if it is present.

Thank You

hi again what do you mean by direct fluid to fluid contact??? I didn't have any cuts on the outside but maybe some on the inside. do you mean that the blood from his gums has to touch a cut on my inside??? thanks again

Brief Answer:
Please see description

Detailed Answer:
hello

direct contact means that there is cut on your skin through which blood is ozzing and his blood gets in contact with that. as this condition didnot happen in your case so you can relax and continue with your normal daily routine.

thank you
