Brief Answer:
Most probably it will not affect your baby.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to us.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I can understand your concern.

Primolut- N is a drug use to postpone period and it is contraindicated during pregnancy.

It may cause fetal malformation and it may cause masculinisation in female foetus.

So it is not recommended during pregnancy.

As in your case, you had only three pills, most probably it will not affect your foetus.

But you should go for regular checkup for fetal growth and ultrasound to rule out any congenital anomaly.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.

We consulted the soctor and checked the scan . The doctor told baby growth and heart beat is fine. But this is not ultrasound scan i guess. So is this enough now or do we need to do ultrasound scan to confirm the same? Dr suggested ultrasound scan can be done around 11 to 13 week. Pls suggest. if we go for ultrasound scan what are the areas which we need to check to make sure that there is no impact on baby due to this tablet.

Brief Answer:
Your doctor's opinion is right.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for delay in my response.

Your doctor's opinion is right.

For now if baby is fine there is no need for ultrasound scan.

Usually congenital anomaly is detected by second level ultrasound scan that can be done around 16-22weeks.

In scan each and every part of body seen in detail.

Hope it is clear.

thanks dr.

If we do the ultra sound scan after.11th week can we able to check the impact which you mentioned like fetal malformation and it may cause masculinisation in female foetus and make sure that there is no above impact from the scan repprt.
If yes what we need to mention during the scan.

Or any specific scan is there to confirm on this. Pls confirm.

Thnks.

Brief Answer:
Anomaly scan ideal time between 16-22 weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Sorry for long delay in my response.

You can go for ultrasound scan after 11 weeks or in frst trimester to rule out chromosal abnormality not all congetinal anomaly.

To see fetal malformation or congetinal anomaly, scan usually done around 16-22,
ideally after 18 weeks because in this scan every minor detail of fetus can be seen by an expert.

It is called second level ultrasound or anomaly scan.

Hope it is clear.

Good luck.
