Question: The symptoms are stiff muscles, shaking all over body, horrible pain from chest to knees, flashing
bright lights when eyes are closed and headaches. I am unable to drive and unable to work. I have been diagnose for having stiff patient syndrome, ALS. After a blood workup, a MRI and an
EKG. A cat scan was also done plus an Ultra sound. Every thing came back normal. This has been going on since April. I have been to the emergency several times for violent shaking. They have also ruled out seizures. They say the next step is pain management but to me that seems to only be masking an unknown problem. Have you personally run across this problem before? If not, do you know any doctor who might have an answer for me? The reason I selected you was because of your years of experience.

I also suggest you to do the following examinations:
-a complete blood count
-Vitamin D levels
-thyroid hormone level
-ERS (Erythrocyte sedimentation rate)
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations.
After the examinations you can contact me again for further evaluation and proper treatment.
Meanwhile you can try over the counter medication to reduce the pain such as Ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day.
You can also try over the counter muscle relaxants like Baclofen three times a day.
