The Area Above My Left Cheek Is Swollen Since Day

default
Posted on Tue, 30 Apr 2019
Question: The area above my left cheek is swollen since day before yesterday. There hasn't been any incident to cause it. It is not hurting or itching. No strange sensation. Just that the budget is not going away. Can you please suggest some remedies to remove the swelling? Couldn't be because of any allergies?

Brief Answer:
Most probably angio-neurotic edema

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Painless swelling above cheek, no other symptoms can be due to one of the following reasons:
A condition called angioneurotic edema is due to allergic reaction. This needs prescription based oral steroids and antihistamine like Cetirizine.
I hope there was no stye in the left lower lid. Reactivation of the stye also can cause similar swelling.
I hope this answers your query.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries.
You may please post a focused and clear photograph as it helps in on-the-spot diagnosis.
