Brief Answer:
It should be stopped gradually

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Hormonal medications have significant effect on body hormones production so it should not be stopped overnight. Withdrawal symptoms of HRT including Premearine are known and may include all these symptpoms of menopause but much more intensive. So in cases of side effect of premarine or other reasons, it is advised to stop it gradually during 3-4 months,by lowering dosage for 10% each week. You also can try to get cheaper medications so consult your doctor about it.
WIsh you good health. Regards
