Suggest Ways To Manage The Side Effects Of Vyvanse

default
Posted on Wed, 2 Nov 2016
Question: I took 300mg of vyvanse and experienced really horrible side effects (obviously). But I do have adhd, and I was wondering when I should restart on my prescribed dosage, which is 20mg daily. That is, how long should I wait before taking vyvanse again if i took such a large amount?

Brief Answer:
Atleast 24 hours and preferabaly 72 hours

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I have gone through your query with keen interest and understand your concerns.

The half life of Vyvanse is just 4-6 hours and it does not stay in the system for longer time. Although it gets metabolized in 24 hours in all forms and flushes out from system I feel the sheer amount of 300 mg will take slightly more time and may take one to three days.

I mean to say that you can start your regular dose after 24 hours of heavy dose intake and for double safety my recommendations is three days from the time of intake.

I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
