Brief Answer:
Potassium levels to evaluate through blood tests...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

1. Amlodipine 10 mg is a calcium-channel blocker and is not causing potassium deficiency. It is not a diuretic, unless you are using in combination with diuretics.

2. Trospium is an antimuscarinic and antispasmodic medication used to treat overactive bladder.

Overactive bladder itself might be accompanied by potassium deficiency due to frequent urination.

3. With regards to using potassium supplements, it depends on the levels of potassium in your blood. Both hypo and hyper-kalemia are dangerous and should be treated adequately according to the lab findings.

If you doctor prescribed potassium cl 20 mg er tablet, it means that he has reviewed the results of your blood tests and has noticed low potassium levels that he has judged to correct by using potassium tablets.

All the best!
