Brief Answer:
Increase the dose of paroxetine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.

You are experiencing anxiety again after reducing the dose of paroxetine.
There are two possibilities:
1. Paroxetine discontinuation symptoms due to dose reduction.
2. Relapse of anxiety issues.

In both cases, I would suggest you to increase the dose of paroxetine in either case. In my opinion, shift back to 12.5 mg paroxetine-CR formulation. This will take care of your problems.

Kindly discuss this with your doctor.
Feel free to ask further.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Increase the dose.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
sorry for the late response.

Withdrawal symptoms can occur after dose reduction also. But the possibility of withdrawal symptoms is less.

The relapse of anxiety can be due to very minor stress in day to day life (especially for those who are predisposed to have anxiety) or sometimes, even without any obvious stress.

In my opinion, you need to increase the dose to curb these symptoms. Ideally, the treatment should be continued for at least one year after resolution of symptoms.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.
