Brief Answer:
Antibiotics not recommended

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear XXXX

Antibiotics are most widely misused drugs. Inappropriate use of them will lead to development of antibiotic resistance. I would not recommend you to start him on antibiotics as the fever is low.
Majority of respiratory infection are viral in origin and self limiting, they require only symptomatic care. I would suggest you the following apart from medication you have been giving

1. Steam Inhalation: Preferably using electronic steamer. This will reduce the wheezing

2. Warm Saline Gargling: Add 2 spoons of salt to glass of lukewarm water and gargle 3-4 times a day

3. Decoction: 1 cup of milk+ 1 teaspoon turmeric+ 2 gm of ginger+ 10 leaves of tulsi+ 2 black pepper+ 2 spoon sugar, bring it to boil. Serve it hot to her, few sips at a time. To take it 4 times a day.

4. Vicks vaporub for local application on neck and chest

5. make him sip 1 spoon of honey with 2 drops lemon added.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
