Started 2-3 weeks ago. I am a 76 year old female in good health generally.

Brief Answer:
its an overactive bladder or mixed incontinence...explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
You may be suffering from an overactive bladder or mixed urinary incontinence due to possible urethral atrophy at this age , post menopause. It is important that you should be evaluated by a per speculum exam to check for stress or mixed incontinence and if required urodynamic studies may have to be done to ascertain a definite cause.
A stress incontinence would require a urethral suspension surgery where as overactive bladder can be controlled with medications like solefenacin for regular use for 2-3 weeks , available on prescription only.
Also very important is to rule out any urinary tract infection first which can present similarly.
