Question: Hi I am a 59 year old female in a 30 year monogamous relationship. I have had 2 negative results for yeast infection and STd. However I am continuing to have thin clear discharge that has small white blobs in it (no odour). I also have a strawberry cervix. What is this?

Brief Answer:
Please fix an appointment with your Gynecologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I appreciate your concerns.

It is good to know that you do not have STD. The most common reason for strawberry cervix is Trichomoniasis (a STD). So this is ruled out in your case. The other common possibility for discharge and strawberry cervix is any bacterial infection. Rarely it can be due a precancerous condition of cervix. Are you regular with your pap smears?

Though very rare, sometimes the discharge could be coming from uterus due to precancerous condition in the uterus. So it is extremely important to get an ultrasound of uterus done.
So please fix an appointment with your Gynecologist. Your doctor will test vaginal swabs, take pap smear and get an ultrasound done. The results of these tests will help in further management.

I hope this is helpful.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
Best wishes,
Dr Rama
